Biography

Silvio F Ricardi grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with dreams of being a crop duster. In 1989, he moved with his family to Melbourne, Australia where he began his flight training. In 2010 he married Laurie Harden Ricardi (Glider Girl) owner of Soaring NV. As chief tow pilot for the premier soaring operation in Minden, NV, he has logged thousands of hours towing gliders using his beloved crop duster. Silvio lives in nearby Gardnerville NV, with his wife, two dogs, two horses and one cat. When he is not towing, you will find him on his Cessna 180 or motorcycle.
